Google Play Gets Space in Navigation Bar

This guest post written by Jenny Simpson.
You must have noticed a new navigation added to the black navigation bar of Google and the new addition is Google Play, labeled as “Play”. Yes now Google Play is a visible option between Maps and YouTube. Once you click on the link control goes to Google Play an established digital shop from where one can buy music, books, movies, and Android apps. The increases visibility will also increase the user’s base also. Google Play offers a unified storefront user experience, which is like an alternative to the iTunes store.

Google Play is completely cloud-based so that all your music, movies, books and apps are stored online, which makes them always accessible by you and you never have to worry about losing them or moving them again. The best part of store is that it is cross platform. One does not need to have an android device to purchase music from it or rent movies.

Whenever a new thing is launched it has both appraisers and some who don’t like it. Similarly with Google Play getting visibility on the main navigation bar, some think it is getting more cluttered, some think it as omnipresent marketing of Google’s own products.
